The Ulysses Swallowtail or Mountain Blue butterfly (Papillo ulysses) is native to tropical rainforests in northeastern Australia. It also is attracted to urban gardens where it feeds on Lantana flowers. The outspread wings are an eye-catching bright blue.

While photography has always been a passion, my painting adventure began after visiting a wildlife art exhibition in Melbourne, Australia. Exploring ways to create colorful contemporary images featuring animals, flowers and other elements of nature was a new venture for me. Now I am studying the exciting creation of digital paintings. Having graduated from Melbourne University with a BA(Hons) specialising in international relations, I am interested in portraying the world's exotic species.
