Artist's Description

Due to their amazing difference in color, for many years the male and female eclectus parrots were thought to be two different species. The female is mostly bright red and bluish purple, whereas the male is mostly bright emerald green. The Australian eclectus parrot is the largest of the subspecies and is found in the far northeast on the Cape York Peninsula.

About Margaret Saheed

Margaret Saheed

While photography has always been a passion, my painting adventure began after visiting a wildlife art exhibition in Melbourne, Australia. Exploring ways to create colorful contemporary images featuring animals, flowers and other elements of nature was a new venture for me. Now I am studying the exciting creation of digital paintings. Having graduated from Melbourne University with a BA(Hons) specialising in international relations, I am interested in portraying the world's exotic species. My aim is to capture their unique personalities and hope they will inspire you to learn more about wildlife and conservation. Images Copyright 2024 Margaret Saheed. All Rights Reserved.
