Artist's Description

An expressive view that shows a baby colobus (Coloobus guereza). Various subspecies of colobus monkeys live in Africa, from Nigeria across to Ethiopia. A feature is their long flowing tail which aids them in jumping long distances from tree to tree.

Margaret Saheed

While photography has always been a passion, my painting adventure began after visiting a wildlife art exhibition in Melbourne, Australia. Exploring ways to create colorful contemporary images featuring animals, flowers and other elements of nature was a new venture for me. Now I am studying the exciting creation of digital paintings. Having graduated from Melbourne University with a BA(Hons) specialising in international relations, I am interested in portraying the world's exotic species.
