Description
These are my favorite leaves. A Victorian koala enjoying a tasty snack of young eucalypt leaves. The koala is an Australian marsupial and is not related to the bear. It inhabits woodland areas in eastern and southern Australia where it feeds almost exclusively on eucalypt leaves. In the colder south, the koalas are larger, darker and with thicker fur than their northern cousins. An interesting feature is the fur on the koalas's bottom which is thicker to form a cushion for added comfort while sitting in the fork of a tree.
