Description
An interesting feature of black and white ruffed lemurs is their special tooth comb created by the lower front teeth tilting forward almost horizontally. Lemurs use this comb for grooming their long hair and scraping gum off trees. This lemur species is critically endangered and lives in small areas of primary rainforest on the east side of the island of Madagascar.
